Location: Thanon Na Phradhatu, Thammasat University side.
Originally was Rattanakosin’s King Rama IV’s private museum before the establishment of “Museum for the People” in the Grand Palace and relocated to the 3 thrones at Bovornsathanmonkala Palace. In the reign of King Rama VII all the palace buildings were made into “Museum for the City” consisting of 3 sections—Thailand History; Thai Arts and Archeology; Fine arts and Ethnology. Some thrones are recognized as a prototype of the outstanding and elegant Thai architecture in Early Rattanakosin.
