SUAN LUMPHINI

Location: Rama IV road surrounded by Wireless Rd., Rajadumri Rd. and So Sarasin, Lumphini, Pathumwan District

Originally called Tung Saladaeng, a private land of King Rama VI who made it into a public park with the given name Suan Lumphini to signify the birthplace of the Lord Buddha in Nepal. It is Thailand’s first public park and people library. Accessible by subway, Suan Lumphini has different settings including a floating island; King Rama VI’s Monument; Bell Tower; and so on.
